Picture Search
Our website at www.akg-images.de allows you direct access to the images in our archive and the number of digitised images available online is increased daily. The website is password protected and depending on your level of access you can search, order images online or download them yourself. Please register on the registration page and you will receive a user name and password. Visitors to our website can view low-res images in the public gallery space, for high resolution you will need to register.

Language
The akg-images website is fully searchable in German as well as English. You can determine your language on the home page.

Searches & Modifications
As a registered user you can modify your personal account and set up your search criteria and preferences; i.e. image size or delivery options, these can be changed at any time.

Orders
As a registered user you can order high-res images directly from your shopping basket via the website in a variety of sizes. We will also re-scan images to a preferred size if you need it.

Formats
We can also supply many images in non-digital format as transparencies or prints. Many originals are housed in our archives and we can therefore supply you with specific details as well as sizes at no extra cost, all photographic and digital work is done in house.

Cost
Every usage is subject to a license fee and the user is compelled to inform us of any usages of our images.

Additional copyrights
Any images that require the clearance of additional copyright from a third party are clearly marked as such. The clearance of such extra rights is the responsibility of the user but we will help with any information we have available. Personality rights and trademarks are to be cleared in the same way.

Information on images
All images that require additional copyrights to be cleared are marked with the line “additional copyrights to be cleared”. Images whose copyright lies with the VG Bild-Kunst (a copyright clearing house who has sister organisations in most countries) will be marked © name of the artist / VG Bild-Kunst. Artist not represented as such will be marked © name of the artist / rights holder – if it is known to us. Images that can only be used in an editorial context will be marked with “For editorial use only”. akg-images always tries to ensure the most accurate information is available and we will do our utmost to answer any queries, for which we are, however, not responsible.
